With more than 1,000 stores, Luxembourg is the ideal city for the shopping addicts.

In general, the basic retail stores are open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm. You will have the chance to discover great offers during the sale season.

 Its main asset is the diversity of shops. Do not hesitate walking on walkways in order to explore the several shop windows. The area shopping around the railway station is charming. You will find renowned brands, retail outlets, luxury stores, supermarkets and much more. Close to the station, avenue de la Liberté and Avenue de la Gare are packed with nice shops all of kinds. A must-see for shopping lovers is the area is the pedestrian zone on and around Grande-Rue in the “Ville-Haute”. Thanks to a close mix of Luxury brands and high-street retailers, everyone will find something they like.

If you like shopping centres you will be fulfilled as each area has got at least one big shopping centre. One of them is the 6000 m2 area of the Pall Center in Oberpallen, 30 minutes north of the city center. His particularity is that, unlike the other shopping centres and town shops, it is open every day including bank holidays. It also has supermarkets where you will be able to do your weekly food shopping. Across the stores you can also find interior decoration, jewelry, leather goods and a variety of accessories.

By the end of 2019, 2 new shopping centers will open in Luxembourg bringing even more well-known brands in the city: Royal Hamilius in the center and La Cloche d’Or in Gasperich.

In addition, there are also plenty of shopping appointments which are organised each year in Luxembourg. One of them is the famous garage sell of Luxembourg City which welcome each time over 200 000 visitors. This is how once a year, generally the first Monday of September, thousands of commercial stands invade the streets of the Capital in order to animate one of Europa’s greatest garage sell.

Fresh product markets are organized weekly and monthly, where you will find high-quality local product as well as a cosy ambience.
